The Western Town

The Old West comes alive in the Western Village, a collection of 12 shops offering a variety of merchandise and containing authentic period pieces.  Located amidst the unique rock outcroppings of the Garden of the Gods formation, you'll find an old time drugstore with a soda fountain serving up tasty treats.  Each evening, you may watch the Ferrier shoe one of our horses in the Blacksmith shop.  In our underground Indian Kiva, our skilled Navajo rug weaver is creating a true work of art.  You may also visit the Adobe Jail and the Old School House or outfit yourself with some western "duds" in the Cowboy.

Be sure to drop into Marian's Cooking Library, a memorial and tribute to Marian Wolfe, a true "bon vivant" who along with husband Russ, founded the Flying W Chuckwagon in 1953.  You may make a photocopy of a great recipe from any of Marian's cookbooks found in this extensive library.  In the northwest corner of the Village you'll find "The Little Church."  No longer used for Sunday worship services, it is now the site of numerous weddings from March through December.

And kids, be sure to take the older folks on a train ride through the old mine tunnel!

The Western Village is open during the summer Chuckwagon season for dinner guests only. (Late May through September)
