For 54 years that the Flying W Ranch has offered a winning combination of picturesque natural surroundings, tasty cowboy trail fare, and unsurpassed western entertainment featuring the truly world famous Flying W Wranglers. Located at the foot of Pikes Peak, just an hour south of Denver, and nestled between the Air Force Academy and the Garden of the Gods, the Flying W provides and unparalleled opportunity to step back in time to experience the romantic spirit of the Old West and the American Cowboy.
On an evening, from Memorial Day weekend through September, members of your group can explore the Western Village where they will find a dozen unique shops containing period pieces from the mid to late 1800's contributing to the ambience. Among the Village shops is an old fashioned drug store, complete with soda fountain and unique pharmacy, and the Blacksmith shop where guests can watch our Ferrier shoe a horse each evening. When the dinner bell rings, it is time to load up a cowboy tin plate and enjoy some great grub including your mighty terrific trail beans and old fashioned buttermilk biscuits. No one ever leaves hungry! After enjoying a truly sumptuous repast, you will be thoroughly entertained under the stars by the world's second oldest cowboy band. Their rich vocals and three and four part harmonies, combined with superior instrumentation and family humor, top off the evening long to be remembered.
From October through mid May we serve an expanded menu of mouth watering ranch fare in the Flying W Winter Steakhouse. Within an intimate setting surrounding by western murals, Native American artifacts, a Southwestern ranch decor, and the full service 125 year old Picketwire Bar, you'll enjoy a relaxing evening in the Steakhouse. After dinner, a fast paced hour of top notch Wrangler music and entertainment will send group members out the door on a Rocky Mountain High!
For an hour prior to the meal, we offer the opportunity to socialize in our Village Assembly Hall. The full service bar is open on a cash or host bar basis. We provide popcorn, chips and con queso at no charge. The ownership and staff of the Flying W Ranch always strive to accommodate special requests and go all out to assure that an evening at the Ranch is a highlight of your group get-together.
We are hoping that we will be given the opportunity and privelege to extend our special brand of western hospitality to your group.
